A NEW WAY TO COOL THIS EARTH?

Geothermal energy may save us. Artificial geysers--man-drilled holes into the earth, releasing steam--will give us energy, and we won't keep using carbon fuels and causing global warming.

Of course, if we keep drilling deep holes into the earth's core and pumping water into them to make steam, we will eventually start to cool the center of the earth, which will in turn cool the surface of the earth from the inside.

The hot core of the earth is our second sun, the one on the inside. We depend on it to warm us the same way we depend on the sun. Neither is a "renewable" energy source, in the long run. But do we have any idea how long the long run is for the burning center of our little earth.

Or am I being stupid?
