NO PERETZ HALL AFTER ALL

Concerning Martin Peretz: I have received a letter from the office of the president of Harvard University, assuring me that "the University is not naming a building after him." In a statement issued by the University, the president says that the university is "dedicated to the proposition that all people, regardless to color or creed, deserve equal opportunities, equal respect, and equal protection under the law." He continues, "The recent assertions by Dr. Peretz are therefore distressing to many members of our cummunity, and understandably so."

So no Martin Peretz Hall of Anti-Social Studies after all.
